What is your favorite part of being a barber?

My favorite part of being a barber is getting to learn about many different types of people daily. Lifestyles, Cultures, Fashions, Countries. It's also amazing being able to help someone look and feel their very best!

Why did you want to become a barber?

I wanted to become a barber because I was raised in a family of hairstylists.  Mom, Sister, Grandmother, Uncle, and Great Grandfather all did hair. This is simply me carrying on the family business!

Number 1 tip to someone going to see a barber for the first time?

The number 1 tip I could give someone going to the barber for the first time would be to: Have an idea of what you are looking for, or a picture. Us barbers are very busy, and to give you the best haircut we need a little direction.

What is your favorite TBB scent?

That is easy! It would be the Barbershop scent. Smells just like I would imagine a 1950's small shop would smell like. GOLD!

What is your beard care routine?

My beard care routine is a little absurd. But I love having a great beard.

  1. Shampoo and Rinse
  2. Blow dry
  3. TBB Oil to add vitamins, shine.
  4. TBB beard balm to add Hold and Shape.

Tell us a bit about your shop you are working in?

I work at an awesome barbershop called Avenue Barber Shop. We are located In the heart of South Congress Avenue. The shop itself, is a 4 chair shop that operates in 3 shifts 6 days a week. It became a barbershop in 1933 and is the best damn shop in Austin, TX.
